Recognised as one of the original pioneers in dance music. As an acclaimed,
award-winning writer/producer and DJ, Carl Turner has written some of the biggest anthems in the history of the clubbing scene over the last 20 years. As a founder member of Bizarre Inc, he has seen global success with hits including ‘Playing with Knives’, ‘I’m Gonna Get You’ and ‘Such a Feeling’ which he both wrote and produced and has played out at hundreds of venues from The Ministry of Sound and Albert Hall to Madison Square Gardens.
In '96 he left Bizarre Inc and signed to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto label as a writer/producer where he wrote under the names Mosaic and Gifted.
Carl has made various TV appearances including Top of the Pops, Dance Energy, The ITV Chart Show and has presented radio shows for BBC radio and Kiss FM. He is listed in both the 'Guiness book of Hit Singles' and 'The International Who’s Who of Music'.
A DJ of over 22 years, Carl is now back stronger than ever, playing out with vinyl, CD’s and Ableton Live and while Playing with Knives remains possibly one of dance music's biggest and most loved anthems nearly 20 years on, Carl's passion for tunes and the clubbing scene remains as focussed as ever. "People come to clubs for a great time and to lose themselves in the music - a DJ's job is to never forget that."
